4/22/11 - 4/28/11

(35/93) Vivaldi 4/22/11
Listening to some Vivaldi, maybe it’s the change of season.

(36/93) 4/23/11
Today I have been thinking a lot about my attitude and how much of a difference a positive attitude makes.

(37/93) 4/24/11 Easter
Had a beautiful Easter which consisted of church in the morning, delicious brunch at Miriam’s http://www.miriamrestaurant.com/live/, and in the afternoon I took Bradley for a walk and we ended up sitting in front of the Brooklyn Museum watching the water fountain.

(38/93) 4/25/11 7th Ave, Brooklyn
We had beautiful weather today. I sat on a bench along 7th Avenue and just watched the people walk by.

(39/93) 4/26/11 Laundromat, Franklin Ave
Today was laundry day. It is funny to think of all the years I took for granted having a washer and dryer. If you are reading this and have a washer and dryer at home you should be thankful. Believe me when I say there is nothing fun about dragging your clothes in a cart down the street.

(40/93) 4/27/11 The Dakota
Today I spent 5 glorious hours sitting in Central Park enjoying the sunshine. I like to use the entrance near 72nd street just so I can walk past the Dakota. It is one of my favorite buildings in NY.

(41/93) 4/28/11 Summer Shoes
I bought my first sandels for the summer. They are so comfortable I’m in love.

First Day of Spring / Barcade

Here we are again at the change of another season. I enjoy Spring and seeing the growth that is taking place all around. I thought it would be fun to take a picture of the city every day for Spring. 93 days...I think I can handle that!

(1/93) Lincoln Place, Brooklyn

Went to a birthday party today at a place called Barcade. It was a great place with the name being self-explanatory...it is bar and an arcade. :) Fun stuff! And it made me miss my sisters because I am pretty sure they could have beat every one there at Pacman! Here is the site check it out...

NYC's Curry Row

Tonight I enjoyed some wonderful Indian cuisine! I have been told about this section of the East Village before which is lined with many different Indian restaurants yet this is my first time visiting. Click here for a better description than I could offer….http://blog.brillianttrips.com/2010/09/new-york-citys-curry-restaurant-row/

I have been home now for a couple hours yet I just can’t stop thinking about my experience at Milon Bangladesh Indian Restaurant. The food was delicious, fun atmosphere, and the staff friendly! I can’t wait to return there!!! If you are next to visit me...be prepared because like or not you will be visiting Curry Row. We will walk along the street and look in all the restaurant windows and laugh as they try to convince us to eat there but ultimately we will pick Milon!

Hummus Kitchen

Walking along after work today with a friend and contemplating whether I was hungry enough for dinner, we passed a very interesting restaurant called Hummus Kitchen located on 9th Ave near 51st Street in a part of Manhattan they call Hell’s Kitchen. I have always enjoyed hummus so I just had to try it.

It was a relaxing atmosphere, beautifully decorated, friendly staff, and delicious food. It was difficult to choose but I went for the…

Sirloin Hummus
Stew of ground beef and lamb, onion, paprika, parsley & Extra virgin olive oil

Babaganush
Broiled eggplant mixed with tahini paste

This restaurant was definitely a fun find! :)
